To enable students to undergo holistic development throughout their periods of study at the University, a compulsory 3-credit-point (cp) Co-curricular and Service Learning (CSL) course was introduced to all undergraduates in 5-year full-time Bachelor of Education (BEd) programmes and 4-year full-time non-BEd programmes for 2018/19 cohort and before during their periods of study.

The CSL courses aim at achieving genuine mind-broadening and service-based learning objectives which extend students’ learning experience beyond the traditional classroom-based curriculum while satisfying quality assurance criteria. In addition, service learning should benefit to community organizations or participants.

Students are expected to develop skills and competencies required for the services including positive personality, positive work attitude, skills on cooperation and team work, interpersonal skills, etc.

The CSL courses are available for students of all years except final year students. The CSL courses offered in the current year can be reviewed here.
