GBA/Chinese Mainland Learning Experience and Activities

With an aim of broadening students’ horizons and enhancing their understanding of GBA/Chinese Mainland, the University deems it important to strengthen GBA/Chinese Mainland learning experience in the curriculum to provide students with valuable experience outside the classroom. Students are required to visit the GBA and/or other parts of Chinese Mainland during their studies. The programme may also require students to participate in other non-local learning experience for completion of the programme.

These non-local learning experience/ activities are designed to align with the course/programme content and contribute to the achievement of course/programme intended learning outcomes.  With a widened exposure outside Hong Kong, these experience/activities would prepare students better for future employment and enhance their understanding of and appreciation for GBA/Chinese Mainland life, society and culture.  This is also in support of the Government’s Policy Address in 2022 and 2023 to provide opportunities of learning experience outside Hong Kong (referred as Chinese Mainland experience) for around 50% of local undergraduate students by 2025/26 academic year.
